Miniature Jade Plant
Crassula ovata minor
Also known as the ‘money tree’, jade plants are often thought to bring the owner good luck.
As a succulent this plant isn’t too high-maintenance, however you do need to take care when watering. Overwatering is one of the main causes of failure for jade plants, so water once thoroughly and then let the soil dry out completely before watering again.

Plant Bio
Originally hailing from South Africa and brought to Europe in the 17th century by Dutch explorers, the jade plant has been a popular houseplant ever since. Because of its connotations with friendship and good fortune, the jade plant has historically been given as a housewarming gift, symbolising a period of incoming prosperity for the owner.
Although most of this plant’s common names focus on money or wealth, its Latin name – Crassula ovata – actually describes the shape of its fleshy leaves. ‘Crassula’ literally translates as ‘fat’ or ‘thick’, and ‘ovata’ means ‘egg-shaped’.
