What does Plant Designs do? More
We’re glad you asked! Plant Designs sells houseplants and accessories to customers all across London, providing them with the tools and know-how to bring the benefits of nature into their homes. We also have a commercial side to our business, where we design, install, and care for plants in workspaces across the city – you can see more about that here.

What is ‘biophilia’? More
If you’ve heard us talking about ‘biophilia’ you may be feeling a bit confused but don’t worry, we’re here to explain. ‘Biophilia’ is a term coined by American biologist Edward O. Wilson, literally meaning ‘love of life’. He used it to describe the innate connection humans feel with nature, and it’s the reason that spending time amongst plants makes us feel so good.

Where can I buy your plants from? More
You can find hundreds of plants in our shop (see location here) or if you’re looking for something specific, you can pre-order plants online and come and collect them at our Exmouth Market shop at a time that suits.

Why do you only offer click and collect? More
When we set up our first shop, we were determined to do everything we could to make it as environmentally friendly as possible. This involved making the decision to not offer home delivery, which is notorious for creating additional pollution and a lot of excess packaging. Click and collect allows us to operate more sustainably, as well as giving our customers fresh plants and the chance to come and get in-person advice from our expert shop staff.

Where do you get your plants from? More
We have worked with ethical growers in Holland for many years now, and continue to source the majority of our plants from them. If you’re interested in reading more about this, you can take a look at our suppliers page.

Why does my plant look different from its picture? More
Plants are natural products, which means they will always have some variation in colour, texture, size, and finish. While we make every effort to depict our plants accurately, we can’t guarantee that the plant you receive will look just like the one shown online.

Where can I go for plant care advice? More
You can check out our online plant care hub for some pointers, or use the search bar to look for information relating to a specific plant. If you can’t find what you’re looking for, email us at shop@plantdesigns.co.uk or drop us a line on social media and one of our horticulturists would be happy to help.

How do I place an online pre-order? More
It’s simple – just browse our plants, add them to your bag, and proceed to checkout. During the payment stage you’ll select a location and time slot where you can collect your order. When that time rolls round, simply bring us your order number and we’ll have everything ready for you to pick up and take home.

Can I buy plants in-store? More
Absolutely! We have a beautiful range of plants, pots, and accessories, as well as expert shop staff on-hand to help with any questions you have. You can see our location and opening times here.

Can you do home delivery? More
As part of our commitment to sustainability, we only offer click and collect from our shops. This vastly reduces carbon emissions and packaging waste, which are both huge problems when it comes to home delivery. What’s more, it helps minimise the time your plants spend in dark boxes and gives us a chance to care for them before you collect them, meaning your plants are greener in more ways than one!

What payment options do you have? More
For all online and in-store purchases we take secure credit or debit card payments. We do not take cash in our shop.

I’ve made a mistake when placing my order. Can I change it? More
If you need to amend your order, email shop@plantdesigns.co.uk and we’ll do what we can to help. If it’s very close to your collection date we may not be able to change your order, so it’s best to get in touch as soon as possible.
